Option for water/dust-proof: infrared-transparent insulation protection cover (GAT)
The OWLIFT doesn't support water/dust-proof. Expensive materials, e.g. germanium, are generally used for water/dust-proof, because typical materials, e.g. glass or acrylic, don't permeate infrared.
So we offer a special low cost cover GAT-05 (Link to Asahi Kasei Advance Corporation) that is able to permeate infrared/visible light and easy to cut, and software (currently only for Windows and Raspberry Pi) that supports GAT-05.
As shown on the upper left figure, you can use it with a visible light camera(e.g. MCS-M291A).
We offer the GAT-05 with an affordable size (10cm x 10cm), and you can find the software for it in download site. Note that an installation position for the OWLIFT and the GAT-05 is required as shown on the upper right figure.

Nov. 28, 2019: The Type-A2 is discontinued, but the Type-A3 is distributed as the successor model. Its features are as the followings;
Basic features, e.g. a capability to measure temperature, are the same as the Type-A and Type-A2.
The only difference is the window size has been changed to small. Because of reducing image that GAT-05 reflects the OWLIFT's parts image from the window. The following left side picture is Type-A3 and right side is Type-A2.
